Requirements

  • Education - BSN required / Master's preferred
  • 3 - 7 years (depending on level of position) cardio vascular and/or critical care experience with progressive management experience
  • Knowledge of JCAHO guidelines and state and federal regulations and standards
  • Problem solving skills
  • Budgetary experience
  • Employee relations experience - including hiring / motivating / mentoring / evaluating
  • BLS/CPR
  • ACLS

Function
Our Client is currently seeking a Heart Institute Director for immediate hire.
The Director will provide administrative and financial accountability for planning, directing, staffing, coordinating, and controlling functions and activities within the Coronary Care Units and Progressive Care Units. Manages the overall nursing operations of the of the designated service lines, which could include ICU, telemetry and CCU units, and in accordance with Hospital administered policies, standards of nursing practices, and governmental regulations, providing excellent care for all cardiac patients. Implements standards and administers clinical practice, evaluates clinical outcomes, and maintains patients' clinical records
