Requirements
Requirements: 3 years of Clinical Experience is required and 2 years of managerial experience is preferred. Registered Nurse with BSN or Baccalaureate related field or currently working to complete program. Preferred: Masters in health-related field.

Licensure/Certification: Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon required. Certification in area of specialty preferred. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) or must obtain within 60 days of hire date. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for unit specific. May consider obtain within 60 days of hire.

Progressive Hospital in one of the most beautiful Coastal Regions in the Country that is leading the way to being a model for regional health care excellence is seeking a Surgical Services Manager to run a 7 OR suite unit with approximately 40 FTEs. With a highly trained nursing staff, my client is looking for someone with a strong clinical background and the ability to work with strong personalities. While the selected professional will not be scrubbing or circulating, a hands-on manager is desired.

Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to practice as a registered nurse with strong clinical skills. Responsible for daily operation of department; implements policies; participate in budget process; attends meeting/serves on committees and task forces; selects, trains, supervises staff; serves on civic/professional service organizations; evaluates/recommends equipment needs; prepares reports; records and analysis of department; evaluates needs for contract services; develops/maintains QPI program; recognizes the importance of patient / customer satisfaction, and takes appropriate action to improve unit performance.

Adheres to hospital/departmental safety/environment of care education requirements; demonstrates knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate levels of service to customers in specific age groups; supports and complies with hospital's mission, vision, and values.
