The Senior Process Engineer's role is to contribute to the processing of all compounds; monitoring, adjusting, and improving the process to optimize quality and minimize waste generation.

Responsibilities:

  • Is a safety advocate; leads by example by complying with all plant and Occupational Health and Safety policies.
  • Serve as a resource for production team. Communicate company policy, decisions, and change positively and directly.
  • Attend daily Management meeting to communicate and problem solve plant issues.
    Actively seek to resolve ongoing processing problems by initiating and overseeing equipment and process modifications.
  • Actively monitor the processing of all compounds and oversee the initiation of process improvements to reduce waste and off-standard materials, or improve product quality.
  • Initiate problem solving in conjunction with other plant groups including production, quality and maintenance.
  • Responsible for the creation, updating, and communication of plant processing specifications and compound mixing procedures. Monitor the processing capability of issued recipes and adjust as necessary.
  • Work with NMQ coordinator to run RFR trials to verify compliance as requested.
    nsure adequate focus on RFQ's to ensure speed to completion.
  • Respond to customer technical problems as required, and maintain a good working relationship with customer contact person.
  • Will monitor all aspects of trials being run including ensuring proper raw materials and timely scheduling. Will work with, and supervise mixing. Will tabulate data. Will do final inspection of packaging and ensure correct documentation is attached to shipment.
  • Provide assistance/resource to Quality Analyst in problem solving both internal and external complaints.
  • Facilitate disposition and subsequent use or sale of non conforming compound with input from Segment Managers.
