Requirements
EDUCATION: PhD Required - BSN, MSN required - in Nursing, Education a plus
EXPERIENCE: Five or more years experience of progressively more responsible job related experience in Nursing, with at least two years of teaching experience in a BSN program. Experience in a nursing advanced practice role (education, clinical or administrative) is preferred.
ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE: Approximately one year to gain familiarity with the Hospital environment, department routines and procedures, and the full range of job duties.
PROBLEM SOLVING: Job requires the highest level of problem solving. The work requires identifying and resolving very complex problems, such as developing innovative solutions based on extensive cross-functional knowledge of the entire the organization.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS: Primarily responsible as an individual contributor, but also supervises a small group of instructors, educators and support staff, appraising clinical and teaching performance.
CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION/LICENSURE: A license as a registered nurse within the state is required.
Function
Our Client is currently searching for a qualified Senior Clinical Nursing Instructor Director with experience to direct a team of highly qualified Senior Instructors to join their nationally top ranked hospital as the lead educator whose responsibilities include classroom and clinical oversight of the Senior education team within a university Scholar's program setting nursing and health studies second degree BSN program.
You will serve as Senior Instructor Director by providing faculty development and monitoring to Clinical Nursing instructors, Nurse Educators and advanced Nurse Educators. Additional responsibilities include student advisement, recruitment, and retention activities; ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum; professional development; scholarly activity; participation in program, college and university committees and other activities that benefit the Scholars program and the Hospital.
