Requirements
• BSME plus 10+ years knowledge/experience for the design of Diaphragm pumps, Piston pumps, and fluid power related components, including Pneumatic cylinders, valves, controls, and FRLs.
Function

Leader of several projects with overall responsibility for success. Directs team members consisting of engineers, technologists, specialists, designers, detailers, technicians, etc.
Develop detailed specifications, detailed program plans and work breakdown structure, milestones, major reviews, schedule, cost, etc.
Maintain the program plans. Complete the programs on schedule, within budget, and meeting all technical specifications, and customer requirements.
Technical leadership in product development programs. Integrate novel approaches, analysis, design, assembly, testing, manufacturing processes, procurement and supplier considerations to develop cost-effective and reliable world class products.
Maintain project documentation, prepare and present management reviews, conduct design and all other major reviews as per division and corporate schedule and procedure.
Assure that all designs address product liability issues. Conduct safety analysis with team members and product safety committee throughout the development process.
Coordination of BOM/EC and product releases consistent with procedure. Initiate and produce all technical input for product literature, decals, technical manuals, etc. Provide training support in specialty areas.
Provide guidance and timely support during pre-production and first few production builds to insure successful product launch.
Initiate studies of new and existing designs to incorporate new cost effective technology in the product to maintain competitive edge and meet the annual cost reduction plan.
Provide technical support to other departments such as Assembly, Machining Operations, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Marketing, Quality Assurance, etc. on current and future products.
Assist Manager in preparing annual plans, identifying advanced engineering tools and techniques, capital expenditure requests, new product ideas, etc. and achieving department goals.
Perform, review, and approve engineering for special application orders (SAO's).
Proactively resolve all warranty and field problems.
Provide assistance / support including proposal completion to secure business / funds from government / outside agencies for advanced engineering programs, OEM sales, etc.
