Requirements

  • 4 year Degree and current RHIT or RHIA certification.
  • 2+ years Management experience in hospital medical records.
  • Must have the ability to multi task and react well under time frame guidelines.
  • Ability to mentor and build a team.

Function

My client, a growing healthcare system, is in need of a Director Medical Records for one of their facilities. This Director will oversee all day-to-day workings of the department which will include planning, organizing, managing, and controlling the department. This Director will be responsible for all budgeting, hiring, staffing, scheduling, decision making, and all customer service. This Director will also concentrate on achieving high patient satisfaction scores and attaining set goals. Other duties will include maintaining effective information systems, and maintaining records and reports.

Fiscal responsibilities include quality improvement activities and long range planning to attain the institutional strategic goals and objectives to meet the professional practice standards for Medical Records and the standards of accrediting and regulatory agencies.
