Our client a well-known hospital system with locations all over the country is looking to bring on board a Chief Nursing Officer for their Georgia facility, located in the central part of the state. This is a very visible and instrumental role for the organization and this CNO will need to bring some strong skills to the table. Main duties will be to oversee all day to day clinical operations which will include patient care, staffing , scheduling, mentoring the team, training, fiscal management, quality initiatives and customer service. This is a working CNO role where this leader will be on the floor and assisting with patent care and making sure staff is on top of all issues and bedside leadership. The CNO will be reporting to a COO of the facility and will have a team of 54 FTE’s to manage properly. Other main duties will be to follow all hospital policies and procedure and making sure campus wide JACHO and state surveys will come out on top without deficiencies. Another key item for the CNO will be to build communication with physicians and external industry resources to achieve long term relationships.
- Licensed RN with a BSN.
- 2 + years in a Leadership role overseeing a Nursing department in an acute care and/or Long Term Care setting.
- Working knowledge of multiple chronic diagnoses conditions and critical care acuities.
- Experience working collaboratively with nursing departments and hospital team members to achieve goals.
- Must possess outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication and people skills; thrive in a highly demanding setting, and fast paced environment.
