Transactional Labor and Employment Attorney

Our client is one of the largest North Carolina based law firms.

Many of their lawyers have come from top national and international law firms and all have achieved a high level of academic success.  The firm is known for its collegiality and commitment to diversity.

Several of the partners in the Employment Practice serve as outside general counsel on employment/labor, and human resources matters to public and private companies in a wide variety of industries including utilities, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, hospitals and healthcare, automotive, semiconductor, paper/cellulose and furniture manufacturers, insurance, banking, retail, hospitality, and food and beverage distribution, as well as municipalities and law firms.



Their labor and employment group is looking for a junior level associate, (1-3 years of practice), with experience in or an interest in transactional and counseling employment practice.

This would include administrative work, EEOC and other government agencies, just not court.

No actual transaction and counseling experience necessary; experience can be entirely litigation so far but have to WANT to do transactional and counseling employment practice. This is an opportunity for somebody to work in a small group, have immediate impact and visibility.

Must have labor and employment experience in;

  • Discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, civil rights violations, labor standards and wage and hour violations, denial of employee benefits and workplace violence, etc.
  • Corporate transactional is a plus
  • Exceptional academic credentials; state or federal judicial clerkship ideal;
